Insurance Lawyer :
The term "Insurance Lawyer" most often refers to an attorney that provides representation for people against insurance companies. This may be for a case in which the insurance company does not provide coverage as contracted, does not provide adequate coverage, or acts in bad faith. This does not apply to personal injury cases in which an insurance company provides a defense for a negligent party, but instead are cases directly against an insurance company. The term also applies to any attorney that specializes in insurance law, such as requirements and regulations, and those attorneys that provide defense to insurance companies. In cases in which an insurance agent is brought up for enforcement by a state insurance regulatory agency, an Insurance Lawyer would also be the one to provide a defense for the agent. Therefore, an Insurance Lawyer may be anyone that specializes in the subject of insurance law, whether it be on the plaintiff's or defense's side.
